Very interesting. The 4,000 year figure matches the estimates cited by Immanuel Velikovsky in EARTH IN UPHEAVAL, published in 1955. Velikovsky's book is chuck-full of such well-documented accounts. Among them even the young Charles Darwin in his VOYAGE OF THE BEAGLE, repeated accounts of such finds in Argentina in the 18th century which he said himself showed that the remains of gigantic beasts found with marrow in their bones couldn't have been more than 3 or 4000 years old, and that they pointed to vast and sudden upheavals which occurred within historical times. In formulating his theories of "slow evolution" Darwin later ignored what he already knew just for the sake of the theory which was in contradiction of the facts.

  1. More evidence unearthed, then buried by the "scientistic" establishment.
