On Twitter Folks Are Following

On Twitter folks are following

Each other all around about

And in a way which is to bring

The best in one another out.

Of course, it all depends on who

Is following whomever, so,

You don’t want one to follow you 

You wouldn’t wanna get to know.

You’d wanna know the reason why

It is that you are followed, for

One who you’re being followed by

Is bound to be your follower.

And also this might tend to get

A bit more complicated for

Their being folks you haven’t met

Yet from a distance you adore,

But you’d know better than to get

Up-close-to-and-too-personal,

Which probably they wouldn’t let

You do so—(to be practical)—

But all the same, if you proceed

And they are following behind,

The very fact, you’re in the lead

They’re rather difficult to find

Without your turning roundabout

And letting them catch up to you

And that’s the way for finding out

Just what they have to do with you;

For those who follow want instead

To find a kind of commonplace

Where none’s ahead and none is led

For both to end up face to face.
