One lesson learned from history

Is that you never really know

Before it happens what’s to be

Until that happens to be so.

And nothing is what you’d expect

Considering what came about

Until all of your plans are wrecked

And nothing that you did worked out.

So when you start out once again

It’s from a shambles left behind

Since now is never what was then

But for a plan you have in mind.

No matter what it was that came

Which blew it all before to bits

It won’t dissuade you from your aim

As long as you’ve not lost your wits.
