From My Rooftop I’d Come To See
From my rooftop I’d come to see
The second of the towers fall,
Gone up in smoke, that’s history:
A smoking pillar, that was all.
The further up in smoke it went
The less of it was left below,
While what’d come of that event
I wondered as I didn’t know,
How fourteen years gone by between
Its moment and a moment now,
Who could have known it didn’t mean
A blessed-damn-thing anyhow?
Postscript:
Barack Obama’s sold us out
With Congress to allow Iran
To bring a holocaust about
Begun back in Afghanistan.
