I’ve Noticed Certain People That

I’ve noticed certain people that

Behind a desk do not get up

As if there, they had always sat

Upon a lofty mountaintop,

And keep on sitting there as you

Can see a small officious frown

Say that they’ve not a single clue

Of how anybody can get down;

So, being they keep strictest rules

Inscribed inside a little book,

They sit there as they do on stools

Down noses only as they look

Up at you who’s still standing there

As if they’d rather not look at

The person, who’s a cross they bear,

Because they are a bureaucrat.
