Never In All My Days Have I
Never in all my days have I
A sunrise seen or a sunset
And not been so astonished by
The One Above creating it;
Who took the color out of what
To say when it is to go where
While out of nothing at all but
He’d let it fade into thin air;
Without a sense of wonder why
Such glory stretches over all
That’s manifest before this eye
Belonging to one oh so small;
Whilst watching all of this aware
He did it Who has to know how
To do whatever’s He’s done there
To set it down to here and now.
