Pregnant With Twins

They found an ancient dinosaur

With eggs inside its abdomen

Which nobody had seen before—

An extraspecial specimen.

They also found its femurs were

Filled with a certain chemical

Which seems to be quite similar

To that of a pregnant animal;

They also found that (by the way)

She wasn’t all that petrified—

Organic matter still would stay

So she could be identified—

Which means it wasn’t long ago

That she inhabited the earth,

So that her eggs would also show

She hadn’t as yet given birth;

While that Tyrannosaurus Rex—

Had only two eggs in her womb—

Was used to having normal sex

With a male partner I’d assume;

And there’s been other evidence,

Suggests a dinosaur would mate 

After the male had done a dance

So they could be more intimate

Than ever heretofore was thought

About the dinosaurs that were

Fought over just as much as sought

By him when he went after her;

And if that really were the case

Of how they did go two by two—

Although they are an extinct race—

Maybe they were like me and you.
