The Tale of The Two Pots

A copper pot and pot of clay
Fell in the brook by accident;
The one of clay had this to say
To one of copper as they went:

“Be sure to take the utmost care
Whilst we are traveling today,
That, being I’m of earthenware,
For Pity’s sake, do stay away!

“For whether you bump into me,
Or whether I’ll bump into you—
There’s bound to be catastrophe,
For nobody but me that’s who!”
