The Traveler And Truth
Once traveling, I’d come upon
A girl in some deserted place,
Had an expression woebegone
Worn over her appealing face.
I asked the woman who she was,
Albeit “Truth” then she replied.
I asked her why?—more curious—
Considering where she’d abide.
Then she replied, “It used to be
I walked among my fellowmen
Because they had to do with me
But now it’s not as it was then;
Because they were unused to lie,
But lies leaving me nothing true
To talk about with them, is why
There’s no one for me to talk to.”
I can relate!😥
ReplyDeleteLol!!! Gotta be true always, even if it means walking alone. Otherwise we loose ourselves and don't know who we are, enmeshment occurs and the search of self begins with anger and resentment. Gotta stay true always!
