The Treetop And The Roots

The treetop said, “The sky

’S the limit where I grow,”

And seeing where roots lie

Said, “My, aren’t you low!”

The roots made their reply,

“Height you have over me,

Whilst what you flourish by

I’ve drawn upward for thee.”
