A Woman On The Train Today

A woman on the train today

Had no one she was talking to

But kept on talking anyway

As she had nothing else to do.

I don’t know what she talked about

But she was absolutely clear

She didn’t have to talk but shout

For everybody else to hear.

We hadn’t gone so very far

That I decided I should take

A seat in an adjoining car

For peace of mind and quiet’s sake.

But when I changed for the express

There in the local was instead,

What do ’y think? You wanna guess?
