If We Look At The World As Though
If we look at the world as though
It is by chance that we are here,
That it just happens to be so
Then in the middle of nowhere
Amidst a boundless time and space
The world is insignificant,
Where nothing really has its place
For all its limitless extent.
Thank Heaven it is not that way.
But we have limits that are drawn
To our lives by Night and Day.
For we have dusk and we have dawn
And we have sunrise and sunset
And we have birth and we have death
And air to breathe lest we forget
To take in and let out a breath.
NOTHING'S TOO LITTLE NOT TO HAVE IT ALL
