Why God put death into His plan

May not be very clear to me

But that’s the way that He began

To run His world’s economy.

For if things didn’t wax and wane,

Come into being and go out

I don’t see how He could maintain

The world of flux it is about.

Old has to make way for the new

As new has nowhere else to be,

And that is what death has to do

For you, my dear and also me.

It may not be just what we want

Who want to live forever but

That is the reason that we won’t

As nothing ever does stay put.
