About the Deal made with Iran

One Democrat is in dissent

Because he doesn’t like the plan

Agreed to by the President.

That Senator has understood

In looking at what it’s about,

The Deal’s decidedly no good;

It puts our future into doubt.

What is the wisdom of a deal

That puts security at stake?

A present danger, that is real,

Deals a disastrous mistake.

Attempting to bypass review

Of Congress so the President

Said: he was not required to

Acquire Advice or Consent,

And sent the Deal for U.N vote

To make Congress irrelevant—

(It would be wise for us to note)

It’s legal role he’d circumvent.  

But getting back to what’s inside

The Deal is that it simply gives

Away the shop, while it provides

Our side without alternatives,

That arms Iran while, as a gift,

Enabling their Bomb, beside

The sanctions the U.S. will lift,

And that amounts to suicide—

Allowing Terror to be spread

On an unprecedented scale;

That Senator has seen ahead,

If the President is to prevail.
