Discover that the other side

World he had not identified.

Some claim it was by accident,

But it depends on how you look

At what it was Columbus meant

To find—the novel way he took—

That, for the nature of his quest,

And what he came upon instead

Would turn out to be for the best,

As it was where he had been led.
