Je T’aime! Is To Say I Love You!

Je t’aime! is to say I love you!

In French it’s all I want to say 

And swear upon it’s being true,

(Albeit’s it’s not the only way.)

In any language it says much,

The same—a saying of it is

The sort of prelude to a touch

That fits a person for a kiss.

And when we would articulate

In words exactly what we feel

What language does is intimate

The feelings we relate are real.

Words, after all, can bring us to

A spot between a kiss and blow

That rivets, as it passes through,

By saying what we think is so.
