Some People Want A Wilderness

Some People Want A Wilderness

Some people want a wilderness
To take away a fenced in farm,
Just as they say we made a mess
Of nature having come to harm.

They’d call for nature to reclaim
Man’s handiwork as if it would
Improve things as before we came
To take the wild out of a wood.

But if you’ve ever lost your way
To wander in the woods about
I rather think you wouldn’t stay
But want to find a pathway out.

Whilst nature’s nicest to explore
Amidst the forest, for its trees,
Yet house or garden, even more,
To be at home in, at your ease.
