My Father Had A Saying He
My father had a saying he
Would say, and it’d go like this:
For everything a place must be,
A place for everything there is;
And he was glad for seeing that
Not only had he what to say,
But that where anything was at
It had a proper place to stay.
Such understanding as he had
In general he gave to me,
So even as a lad, my Dad
Said in a way that I could see,
Things weren’t just by accident;
If they were there by no mistake
Then everything to be was meant,
So sense of it we’d have to make.
"A Place For Everything"
