Something about the dinosaur

Makes many people ponder on

As it had been here once before

But is no more—since it is gone.

Although adjusted to their place,

The dinosaurs so big and strong

Have left behind that fossil trace

But otherwise’ve been gone long;

Which then presents this mystery

Of dinosaurs who were wiped out

Which makes for Natural History

That people wonder much about.

Although none has the answers I

Have questions I prefer to pose:

Why dinosaurs are gone and why

The answer is—God only knows?
