The World We’re Living In Is Not

The World We’re Living In Is Not

The world we’re living in is not
A lottery, where things fall out
By drawing an apportioned lot;
Chance isn’t what it’s all about.

It’s no hodgepodge of accident,
All atoms swirling in a swarm
Come up with what’s significant
To give it purpose and a form;

For honey bees that congregate
Look like their own community
Which manage to communicate
The business of becoming bee;

Although it is they know nothing
About their predetermined task,
Whilst we wax curious and bring
Up questions, we’re able to ask.
