A style is like a garment that
Is anything we can put on;
Intended for our looking at
It isn’t seen until it’s gone.
Whilst everything particular
Must be essentially abstract,
Albeit it seems a face or star,
A spirit by it must be backed.
For, whatsoever it might be,
Without a dot it cannot start;
Since any circle which we see
Should be invisible at heart.
