Some Middle Ground

Some people say that borders are
A problem; without boundaries
That nations shouldn’t go to war
So everyone would be at peace;

Which seems to me simplistic to
Believe that differences raise
A wall between us (me and you)
Not to let us come face to face:

There has to be a middle ground,
As I am here and you are there,
Between us two that may be found
For us to love, to touch, to share;

Since if there were no difference
That’s in between to overcome,
(No point to that circumference)
No circle’s to be drawn, in sum.
