What’s unimaginably small

They called an atom till they found

The subatomic particle

And that itself of bits was bound;

In other words, inside of it

Lay something even smaller still,

So that the atom could be split

And split again, again until

They found another part to be

Inside of what was inside that,

Where something like infinity

Was where it all had to be at.

The atom then was not so small

As it had been, hence, heretofore;

So nothing might contain it all

And there was nothing never more.
