Between instinct and intellect

Of animal and humankind

What people are here to effect 

Is metamorphosis by mind;

For, man has reasoning to see

Behind all how his Maker lies

As what’s around him has to be

A hint to look for the surprise

In everything—no matter what,

Albeit be immense or small,

Since there is nothing really but

His Maker, lying behind all;

The reason he was given sense

For choosing the alternative,

(Distinguishing the difference)

So meaningfully he may live.
