Anyone Who Knows Anything

Anyone who knows anything
About whatever might be so,
Knows knowing cannot ever bring
Him to the end of what’s to know.

And whether it is apropos
To knowledge a priori or
Posteriori—just to know
Is what we all are looking for.

Nobody wonders what is true
Without believing first in that
Whatever anybody knew
There was what was to be looked at.

It didn’t come out of nowhere
To happen by mere accident
That there is something over there
Because it had to have been meant.
