There was the parable about
An Emperor arrayed.
In new apparel he turned out
As he led the parade,
He hadn’t on him any clothes
For anyone to see
Which actually would expose
Him in his nudity.
For what the emperor had on
Did not resemble dress;
In fact His Majesty wore none
To cloak his nakedness.
You see this parable applies
To what goes on today,
So nobody believes his eyes,
Cause all is on display.
America, you’ve gone too far,
Unable to turn back:
New clothing on an Emperor;
A robe upon a rack!
A God in Who we had to trust
We’d better to ignore;
Who cannot even be discussed
Now turns a metaphor.
For we believe in everything,
Whatever we are told:
Before us on parade the king
’S a wonder to behold!
Who’s clad in all his Majesty,
As all he has to wear,
For all of him you have to see
He’s absolutely bare.
