Most People To The Doctor’s Go
Most people to the doctor’s go
In feeling not completely well:
If blood pressure’s a little low
Or if they had a fainting spell;
Or hypertension that’s at high,
Contracted fever, say, or cold,
Or they’ve a stye in either eye,
Or maybe they are feeling old.
But as for me when I feel fine
The reason that I’d go is that,
By nothing other than design
A nurse is where a doctor’s at.
Since it is her I’d want to see
As, of myself, I’m taking care
If in the best of health I’d be:
I’ll go to him for she is there.
I’d rather interest the nurse
In being I am like most men,
For either better or for worse
Wherever she is: I’d be then.
& if she checks me on the scale,
A pound or two that I’d put on,
Some diet might instead avail,
In order, for them, to be gone.
And by the doctor’s that is why
The nurse is who I want to see,
So I would hope when I stop by
She’s to be there because of me.
And if perhaps she only knew
The doctor’s only for her sake
I wonder what’s a nurse to do
To take a patient as her make?
Why I Go To The Doctor's
