In Secret It Has Been Decreed

In secret it has been decreed

Regarding any site suspect

That Iran’s graciously agreed

Its installations to inspect.

And, whoopee do, Obama has

Assured us that it is OK,

As he does not want to trespass

Upon Iran now anyway.

Though Iran’s already denied

That she is going nuclear,

That she has not at all to hide

Anything ever hid before, 

Obama hopes that he is right,

Saying a deal is such a must

That the inspection of this site

Is totally based on his trust.

But why should Iran first deny

A site has anything to show

Whilst she’d go on and verify

All of that really wasn’t so?

It makes no sense at all to say

Nothing requires looking at,

To stand in someone else’s way

Who’d verify the fact of that;

Suppose that you are looking for

What you are eager not to see;

You’d want to overlook far more

Than tell about it, truthfully,

And since this installation was

Suspected years ago to be

Gone nuclear—I’m curious—

Have you no curiosity?
